Why We Started Voyce
Voyce was born because we wanted to help. In 2016, Voyce’s CEO, Andrew Royce, was volunteering with Syrian refugees resettling in Montreal, Quebec, a bilingual city where both English and French were spoken. During this time, he became acutely aware of the critical need for language interpretation.
Royce witnessed firsthand the challenges this refugee community faced, including many seniors who wouldn’t leave their homes unless they knew they had someone who could interpret for them. As a result, many of these displaced people had fewer opportunities to seek healthcare services and improve their quality of life.
Voyce was started with a mission to provide interpreter services, anywhere at any time for those in need. Today, Voyce helps thousands of people a day access professional language interpreters, opening the doors of our healthcare system to every member of our community.
